Time Warner Inc.’s Warner Brothers have dragged Indian Movie company- Mirchi Movies to court for infringement of copyrights. Mirchi Movies forthcoming flick titled Hari Puttar: A Comedy of Terrors. The film is shot in UK and main protagonist 10-year-old boy is accidentaly left at home with his cousin. The film is loosely based on 90’s flick Home Alone. Warner Brother spokesman, Scott Rowe said in an email statement, “Warner Bros values and protects intellectual property rights. It is our policy not to discuss publicly the details of any ongoing litigation.” However Mirchi Movies chief, Munish Purii denies any similarity between his movie and Harry Potter, “I don’t think our title has any similarity or links with Harry Potter,” says Purii. Hari is a common Indian name and Puttar is a Punjabi word used to call a child lovingly.
